According to Mexican authorities, one person was killed and others were injured after an accident involving Mexican President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum’s motorcade.
Despite the involvement of her convoy, Sheinbaum’s vehicle was not part of the collision. Following the crash in Monclova, a city in northern Coahuila state, Sheinbaum stopped to assist those injured, who were already receiving care from emergency responders.

Y no es que crea que pudo o debió hacer algo, es el hecho de que la prensa lo reitera mucho, como si de eso dependiera su comida los próximos 6 años

In a statement, Sheinbaum’s staff said, “We deeply regret that one person died in the other vehicle.” That victim was identified as a 94-year-old woman. The accident involved two vehicles, one of which was part of Sheinbaum’s convoy.
Monclova’s mayor, Mario Alberto Dávila Delgado, revealed that the crash happened at an intersection where the highway meets another road. The elderly woman’s vehicle was reportedly speeding and failed to stop at the intersection.
