Amazon.com Inc has announced it would hire 150,000 employees in full-time, seasonal, and part-time roles across the United States ahead of the upcoming holiday season.

The world’s largest online retailer says that various positions will be open at the company but emphasize that there will be a focus on packing, picking, sorting, and shipping orders. New hires at eligible locations could also receive a $3,000 sign-on bonus at some locations.

The news comes as Amazon announced last week that it had raised their hourly pay to $19 an hour, a $1 increase from last year.
