Russia has deployed its “terminator” tank support vehicles into Ukraine as they prepare for an offensive in the eastern Donbas region.
According to a Russian military source speaking to the Russian state news agency RIA (a government-controlled news agency), a platoon of Terminator tank support vehicles were deployed into Ukraine last weekend. Speculation is growing that the tanks will be utilized in Severodonetsk.
The Terminators are equipped with four anti-tank missile launchers, two grenade launchers, two 30mm autocannons, a machine gun, and a reinforced haul. According to military analysts, the terminators can reportedly travel at 36 mph (significantly fast for a tank). The Terminator was developed by Russian machine company Uralvagonzavod and built on the chassis of a T-72 battle tank.
