Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled for separate meetings this week with President Joe Biden in Washington, DC, and former President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago in Florida.
Netanyahu’s meeting with Biden: The Israeli Government has announced that Netanyahu will meet with President Biden on Thursday in Washington, DC. Their discussions are expected to address a range of foreign policy issues, such as Middle Eastern peace, US military aid and sales, and the ongoing war in Gaza.

Netanyahu’s meeting with Trump: Netanyahu will meet with Trump on Friday at Mar-a-Lago in Florida. This meeting aims to improve relations with Trump after tensions arose when Netanyahu recognized Biden’s 2020 election victory, leading to public anger from Trump. In a statement on TruthSocial, Trump said, “Looking forward to welcoming Bibi Netanyahu at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, on Thursday. During my first term, we had Peace and Stability in the Region, even signing the historic Abraham Accords – And we will have it again. Just as I have said in discussions with President Zelensky and other World Leaders in recent weeks, my PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH Agenda will demonstrate to the World that these horrible, deadly Wars, and violent Conflicts must end. Millions are dying, and Kamala Harris is in no way capable of stopping it.”
Who else Netanyahu will meet: During his visit to Washington, DC, Netanyahu is scheduled to meet with Vice President Kamala Harris, who earlier today secured the Democratic nomination for President. He will also hold discussions with various congressional and senate leaders, including House Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
Netanyahu’s address to congress: Prime Minister Netanyahu is also set to address Congress during his visit to Washington, DC. His speech will likely cover topics such as Israel’s security concerns, ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, and the US-Israel relationship. Netanyahu’s visit comes as he has faced criticism from some US lawmakers over Israel’s military operations in Gaza, which some US lawmakers have termed as an ongoing “genocide.”
