The Former White House physician who oversaw the health of former presidents, George Bush, Barrack Obama, and Donald Trump has called for President Biden to take drug tests before and after his upcoming debate with former President Trump.
Congressman Ronny Jackson (R-TX), who became a congressman following Trump’s tenure, announced his intentions during an interview on Fox News, asserting, without direct evidence, that Biden has been using performance-enhancing drugs. Jackson said, “I’m going to be demanding on behalf of many millions of concerned Americans right now that [Biden] submit to a drug test before and after this debate, specifically looking for performance-enhancing drugs.” He cited Biden’s recent State of the Union address as evidence, claiming Biden’s performance differed significantly from his usual demeanor over the past few years.

He further speculated that Biden might be receiving drug treatments during his week-long stay at Camp David, saying, “I feel like this is probably what’s going on over this week at Camp David. Part of that is probably experimenting with just getting the doses just right, because they have to treat his cognition. They have to give him something to help him think straighter. They have to give him something to wake him up to — for his alertness. And then he’s been agitated. We see that all the time. And that’s a common — that’s a common symptom or sign of this cognitive disorder that he seems to be suffering from.”
The White House responds:
White House spokesman Andre Bates said, “It’s telling that Republican officials are unable to stop announcing how intimidated they remain by [the] President’s State of the Union performance. But after losing every public and private negotiation with President Biden — and after seeing him succeed where they failed across the board, ranging from actually rebuilding America’s infrastructure to actually reducing violent crime to actually outcompeting China — it tracks that those same Republican officials mistake confidence for a drug.”

The Biden campaign responds:
Responding to similar statements made by Former President Donald Trump last week, Biden campaign co-chair Mitch Landrieu said, “The other day, you may remember, he was trying to question our president’s mental acuity and he could not remember the name of his own doctor, so tell President Trump: Bring whatever he’s got.”
Some extra info you should know on Congressman Jackson:
Jackson’s credibility has been questioned due to his controversial tenure as Trump’s physician, during which he faced accusations of exaggerating Trump’s health. In 2022, Jackson was demoted from rear admiral to captain after an Inspector General’s report found he had behaved inappropriately (was drunk on duty) while serving as the White House physician. Jackson has denied the claims made against him.
