7:00 PM PDT: Update: The Trump Campaign has updated their original figure, now announcing that they raised $53 million in less than 24 hours.
According to the Trump campaign, they have received an unprecedented surge in donations following former President Donald Trump’s conviction.

After Trump was found guilty of 34 felony counts in a New York hush money trial on Thursday, his campaign reported approximately $35 million in donations within 10 hours. The campaign claims the verdict ignited a wave of enthusiasm among grassroots donors. A senior advisor said, “From just minutes after the sham trial verdict was announced, our digital fundraising system was overwhelmed with support,” noting temporary online delays due to heavy traffic. They reported that Trump raised $34.8 million from small-dollar donors.

The campaign highlighted that this total set a new record for small-dollar donations within a single day. Notably, nearly 30 percent of these contributions came from new donors using the WinRed platform, a tool employed by Republican candidates for fundraising. The campaign said, “President Trump and our campaign are immensely grateful for this outpouring of support from patriots across our country. President Trump is fighting to save our nation and November 5th is the day Americans will deliver the real verdict.”

This development comes after Trump was convicted on all 34 counts of falsifying business records, marking him as the first former president to be convicted of a felony. The jury delivered its verdict after about 11 hours of deliberation. Despite his plea of not guilty and denial of any wrongdoing, Trump plans to appeal the verdict.
