Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFK) has officially qualified on Michagan’s 2024 ballot as a presidential candidate.
His campaign shared the news on Thursday, marking a significant step in his independent bid for the White House. Kennedy, supported by the Natural Law Party in Michigan, successfully gathered the necessary signatures and completed the required paperwork with the help of the party. Doug Dern, the chair of the Natural Law Party, expressed strong support for Kennedy’s candidacy. “He’s the most qualified candidate in the modern-day history of America,” Dern stated. He added, “We welcome Mr. Kennedy and Ms. Shanahan to the party.”
Michigan stands out as the most critical state that Kennedy has secured so far, with the election just over six months away. While he has also appeared on ballots in other swing states like New Hampshire and Nevada, Michigan’s strategic importance elevates the seriousness of his campaign. Both major parties, the Democrats and the Republicans, are eager to win Michigan, which played a critical role in the 2020 election.
In addition to Michigan, Kennedy’s campaign reports that he has qualified to appear on the ballot in eight other states, including North Carolina, Iowa, Nebraska, Hawaii, Utah, and Idaho. This brings his total to nine states, underscoring his efforts to establish a national presence.
Kennedy’s team is now focused on gathering enough signatures to qualify in all 50 states before the respective deadlines.
