Russian President Vladimir Putin has officially announced the annexation of four regions of Ukraine during a speech in Moscow on Friday.
During his 37-minute speech, President Putin and the pro-Russian leaders of Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhia signed treaties that annexed the regions from Ukraine. The move has been denounced as illegal by western nations and Ukraine.
