Interpol has officially removed a red notice against environmental activist Paul Watson, founder of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.

Some shit you should know before you dig in: Last week, two National Guard members were ambushed while patrolling near the White House in Washington, D.C., in what officials described as a targeted and unprovoked attack. The alleged assailant, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, an Afghan national, is accused of opening fire on Army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, 20, and Air Force Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe, 24. Beckstrom later died from her injuries, while Wolfe remains in critical condition. Lakanwal previously worked with the CIA in Afghanistan as part of a covert paramilitary group known as theZero Units, which conducted operations against the Taliban and other extremist organizations. He arrived in the United States in September 2021 under the Biden administration’sOperation Allies Welcomeprogram, designed to resettle Afghans who had supported US efforts during the war. His asylum application was granted earlier this year under the Trump administration following a vetting process by US counterterrorism and immigration authorities.

What’s going on now: In a notable development, Noem met with President Trump on Monday and recommended what she called afull travel ban on every damn country that’s been flooding our nation with killers, leeches, and entitlement junkies. She posted the statement on X shortly after their meeting, adding,Our forefathers built this nation on blood, sweat, and the unyielding love of freedom—not for foreign invaders to slaughter our heroes, suck dry our hard-earned tax dollars, or snatch the benefits owed to AMERICANS. WE DON’T WANT THEM. NOT ONE.Though Noem did not name specific nations in her post, additional reporting indicates that she is advocating for the travel ban list to be expanded from 19 countries to as many as 30 or 32.

The current list (established in a June 2025 proclamation) restricts travel from 19 “nations of concern,” including Afghanistan, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Yemen, and several others linked to terrorism risks or document fraud. According to the Department of Homeland Security, the updated list Noem is pushing for will be revealed soon.

President Trump has publicly backed Noem’s proposal and framed it as a necessary national security measure. “We will permanently pause migration from all Third World countries to allow the US system to fully recover,” he said in a recent statement.
