Former President Trump warned that a major war in the Middle East and potentially a third world war could occur if he does not win the upcoming presidential election.
What Trump said: While speaking with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at Mar-A-Lago, Trump said, “If we win, it’ll be very simple. It’s all going to work out and very quickly. If we don’t, you’re going to end up with major wars in the Middle East and maybe a third world war. You are closer to a third world war right now than at any time since the second world war. You’ve never been so close, because we have incompetent people running our country.”

Trump’s meeting with Netanyahu: Former President Trump’s meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was focused on discussing the current geopolitical situation in the Middle East, particularly the conflicts involving Israel and Hamas. During the meeting, Trump stressed his strong support for Israel and criticized the Biden administration’s handling of US-Israel relations.
Rocky relations: During Trump’s presidency, he and Netanyahu maintained a strong relationship. However, their bond soured after Trump left office. Trump was displeased with Netanyahu for acknowledging Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 US presidential election. In a 2021 conversation with Israeli journalist Barak Ravid, Trump revealed that he hadn’t spoken to Netanyahu and expressed his frustration by saying, “fuck him.”
Biden Administration’s Ceasefire Efforts: Netanyahu’s visit with Trump follows meetings with both President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Meanwhile, the Biden administration has been actively advocating for a ceasefire deal aimed at securing the release of all hostages held by Hamas and halting military operations by the Israeli military.
