Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has apologized after a private phone call with former President Trump was leaked.
The call, which occurred just before Trump announced Senator JD Vance as his running mate at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, revealed Trump agreeing with some of Kennedy’s views on vaccines and encouraging Kennedy to take action.

In a statement, RFK said, “When President Trump called me I was taping with an in-house videographer. I should have ordered the videographer to stop recording immediately. I am mortified that this was posted. I apologize to the president.”
During the call, Trump also mentioned President Biden’s response to the assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where a bullet grazed Trump. Describing the incident, Trump said, “It felt like a giant—like the world’s largest mosquito.”
This development follows growing speculation yesterday that RFK might endorse Donald Trump. After hours of reports circulating, RFK announced that he would continue his campaign.
