President Donald Trump has announced that the United States now has complete control of the skies over Iran.
Some shit you should know before you read: Amid the conflict continuing to escalate between Israel and Iran, the United States has continuously maintained that it is not involved in the Israeli-led strikes and operations targeting Iranian territory. As of yesterday, White House spokesman Alex Pfeiffer dismissed reports of American involvement as misinformation, stating, “Reports of US involvement in attacks on Iran are fake news.” He further clarified, “American forces are maintaining their defensive posture, and that has not changed. We will defend American interests.” The Pentagon echoed this sentiment, with spokesman Sean Parnell directly refuting claims that US aircraft participated in Israeli operations, calling them “not true.”

What’s going on now: In a notable development, President Trump released a statement on Truth Social saying, “We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran. Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American made, conceived, and manufactured ‘stuff.’ Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA.” This statement, which some say implies direct US military involvement in the airspace over Iran, marks a sharp departure from his earlier public comments, in which he asserted that the United States was not participating in Israel’s military campaign.
Just days prior, in a June 15 interview with ABC News, Trump stated, “We’re not involved in it. It’s possible we could get involved. But we are not at this moment involved.”
Trump’s remarks coincided with the US military quietly surging additional assets to the region, raising further questions about the extent of American coordination with Israeli forces. Adding to the gravity of this, Trump’s post came shortly after he abruptly departed the G7 summit in Canada a day early, citing urgent developments in the Middle East.
