Former President Donald Trump has condemned President Biden’s approach to the conflict in Gaza, particularly concerning the supply of offensive weapons to Israel.

Trump expressed his disapproval early Thursday morning, reacting to Biden’s threat to restrict weapons if Israeli forces proceed with an invasion of Rafah, a city in southern Gaza. Trump argued that Biden is effectively siding with Hamas terrorists by potentially withholding military aid as Israel fights against them.

In a statement, he said, “Crooked Joe Biden, whether he knows it or not, just said he will withhold weapons from Israel as they fight to eradicate Hamas Terrorists in Gaza. Hamas murdered thousands of innocent civilians, including babies, and are still holding Americans hostage, if the hostages are still alive.”

Meanwhile, President Biden, who had on Wednesday articulated a conditional stance on weapon supplies, emphasized that while supporting Israel’s right to self-defense, he would not endorse actions escalating to a full-scale invasion without a clear plan for civilian safety. He stressed the importance of careful consideration regarding the use of artillery and other offensive munitions.

This comes as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues to advocate for a decisive strike against Hamas, citing the necessity of targeting the group’s leaders who are believed to be in Rafah. This area has become a refuge for approximately a million people displaced from northern parts of Gaza.
