Further details revealed that the FBI’s focus includes the conditions under which the container ship left the port, specifically if it was aware of any critical issues before the collision. The Washington Post noted that federal agents boarded the cargo ship to carry out a search, signaling an intensification of the investigative efforts.

In an official statement, the FBI confirmed their investigation, stating, “The FBI is present aboard the cargo ship Dali conducting court authorized law enforcement activity. There is no other public information available, and we will have no further comment.”
