During the discussion, Bartiromo asked about Johnson’s perspective on converting US aid to Ukraine into a loan, a proposal previously suggested by former President Trump. Johnson revealed that he had met with Trump recently and expressed strong alignment with him on major policy matters. He said, “I had a great visit with him [Trump] on Friday. And he and I are 100% united on these big agenda items… I think these are ideas that I think can get consensus, and that’s what we’ve been working through.”
The conversation also touched on the Biden administration’s stance regarding Iran’s recent attack on Israel. Johnson stressed the importance of unconditional support for Israel, highlighting the critical nature of their situation. He said, “What’s important right now is that we stand with Israel; we should not be dictating to them what their policy is… They’re fighting for their very existence, and it’s never been more important for us to be there with them. And we’re resolved to do that. I hope that continues to be understood.”
