The Israeli government has confirmed it will sponsor a tour for young, conservative American social media influencers to promote pro-Israel messaging and counter declining support among younger US conservatives.
What’s going on now: First reported by Haaretz, the tour will feature 16 conservative social media influencers under the age of 30, all of whom support President Trump’s “MAGA and America First movements.” These influencers, each with followings ranging from hundreds of thousands to millions, will be flown to Israel as part of a government-funded initiative to promote pro-Israel messaging among younger US conservatives. The Foreign Ministry sees the tour as a way to counter what it describes as “falling” support for Israel among younger generations, even within traditionally pro-Israel Republican circles.

While the names of the influencers have not been publicly disclosed, Israeli officials noted that the strategy marks a shift in public diplomacy—from traditional advocacy to influencer-led messaging. “We’re working with influencers, sometimes with delegations of influencers,” an unnamed Foreign Ministry source told Haaretz. “Their networks have huge followings, and their messages are more effective than if they came directly from the ministry.”
The initiative is being organized and managed by Israel365, a nonprofit founded in 2012 by Rabbi Naphtali “Tuly” Weisz. The group promotes a biblical and political vision of Israel, targets Christian audiences, and is against a two-state solution, which it calls a “delusion.” The contract for the tour is just under $90,000.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry praised the organization’s ideological alignment with the MAGA movement, stating that Israel365 is “in a unique position to convey a pro-Israel stance that aligns entirely with the MAGA and America First agenda.” In a statement, YTacov Livne, senior deputy director of the ministry’s public diplomacy division, said, “With the rise of the America First movement and MAGA in American politics, it’s essential for Israel that the movement adopt a pro-Israel position.”
