Israel’s strikes within Iran utilized personnel embedded deep inside the country by its intelligence agency.

Getting into it: Video released by Israeli intelligence shows the extraordinary depth of Mossad’s covert operations inside Iran leading up to the strikes. In the minutes before Israeli fighter jets launched their aerial assault, Mossad agents on the ground activated a network of precision-guided weapons systems that had been smuggled into Iran and hidden near key military sites. These included surface-to-air missile batteries, radar arrays, and ballistic missile launchers, which were neutralized in coordinated detonations that cleared the way for Israeli aircraft to strike with minimal resistance.

Explosive drones, also planted inside Iran ahead of time, were triggered remotely to target and destroy long-range missile platforms, particularly around the Esfajabad base near Tehran.

The Mossad’s operations were not limited to battlefield hardware. Israeli intelligence clearly had actionable information on the locations of top Iranian military officials and nuclear scientists, as proven by the precision strikes that killed them in their homes. One of the most significant strikes took out the entire senior command of the IRGC Air Force, who had been gathered in an underground command facility.

This comes as Israel’s top military intel official, Major General Shlomi Binder, said that Israel’s mission is to “degrade, disrupt, and remove” Iran’s nuclear threat. Defense Minister Israel Katz echoed this, saying, “The precise targeting of senior commanders of the Revolutionary Guards, the Iranian military, and nuclear scientists — all of whom were involved in advancing the plan to destroy Israel — sends a strong and clear message: those who work toward Israel’s destruction will be eliminated.”
