President Vladimir Putin of Russia has claimed that a US-supplied Patriot air defense system provided to Ukraine was used to shoot down a Russian Il-76 military transport plane last week in the Belgorod region, leading to the deaths of all 74 individuals on board. Putin emphasized the need for an international investigation into this incident, which Moscow blames Ukraine for.

According to Russian allegations, the Ilyushin Il-76 plane was transporting 65 captured Ukrainian soldiers intended for a prisoner swap with Russian detainees when it was downed. Ukraine, however, has not confirmed its involvement in the incident and has requested evidence regarding the plane’s passengers. “The plane was downed, and it’s been definitively established by an American Patriot system – the expert analysis has already established that,” Putin said, insisting on a thorough international probe into the event.

The decision to elevate the accessible sum was disclosed after a meeting of officials in Beijing. The central bank of Argentina clarified, “The procedure has begun to increase the usable amount by another 35 billion yuan”. This boost will be activated once the initial tranche of the extension, utilized for commercial exchange between the two countries, is depleted and upon agreement between the two parties.

Putin criticized the lack of willingness among international organizations to conduct an investigation, stating, “We insist that an international investigation be carried out. No international organizations are willing to do this.”
