The search has intensified for Jason Billingsley, the primary suspect in the killing of 26-year-old Pava LaPere, a renowned tech executive found deceased in her Baltimore apartment.
The city’s acting Police Commissioner, Richard Worley, announced on Tuesday that Billingsley, 32, is wanted on multiple charges, including first-degree murder. Emphasizing the gravity of the situation, Worley stated during a press conference, “This individual will kill and he will rape,” cautioning residents that Billingsley is considered “armed and dangerous.”
Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott, who had interacted with LaPere over the years, praised her as a “very young, talented, devoted Baltimorean.”
LaPere, who co-established EcoMap Technologies, earned a place on the 2023 Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list. She was an alumna of Johns Hopkins University.
