A man has been arrested after a murder was caught on tape inside a loan office in Russia.
Russian police say 46-year-old Dmitry Perevozchikov was arrested for the murder of 51-year-old Irina Glushachenkova, a loan officer who worked for “Viva Money Loans” office in Moscow.
Police spent three days actively hunting Perevozchikov after they were able to identify him from a license plate picked up on a traffic camera nearby the office.
Security camera footage from inside the store shows Perevozchikov walking into the store and shooting a female employee in the head with a pistol (equipped with a silencer). After killing the loan officer, Perevozchikov walks behind the counter searching for money before abruptly leaving.
Perevozchikov (who has a gambling addiction) originally submitted a loan application to the branch earlier and was ultimately denied. Police add that when speaking with investigators, Perevozchikov admitted to killing the employee and said he was heavily intoxicated.
Vitaly Vladimirovich Saksin, a Russian law enforcement official, called the murder “barbaric” and added “the composure with which the murder was committed is striking.”
