Update 3:56PM PST: We’ve spoken to a mother who’s son use to be in the same class as the shooter. She asked not to be identified, but adds that the shooter had a trouble childhood and was living with his grandmother. Also says that the child was regularly bullied and “he had previous concerning behavior including stabbing someone with a pen.”

A school shooting at an elementary school in Texas has left 15 people killed and many more injured, according to sources on the ground. Some of the children killed were between the ages of seven and ten years old.

The incident began right before noon when officers received a call for an active shooter at Robb Elementary school in Uvalde, Texas (a small city about 75 miles from San Antonio).

In a statement, Texas Governor Greg Abbott identified the shooter as 18-year-old Salvador Ramos. Ramos reportedly lived in Uvalde and killed his grandmother before going to the school. Governor Abbott said “It’s believed the shooter abandoned his vehicle and went into the Robb Elementary School. He shot and killed-horrifically, incomprehensibly – 14 students and killed a teacher. The shooter is deceased. It’s believed that responding officers killed him.”

In the beginning, local officials gave conflicting statements about where the shooting had occurred and how many people had been shot. Uvalde Memorial Hospital has confirmed that 11 injured students (and two others) were taken to their hospital. Others injured were also transported via helicopter to University Health in San Antonio.
After looking into the suspect, we have identified his social media accounts (Instagram & TikTok). Days before the shooting, the suspect posted pictures of rifles, including magazines. The shooter also tagged an unrelated individual who has released images to us showing messages the shooter sent. The individual who received these messages says the shooter was “stalking her” weeks before. Attached are the photos, more to come.
